Uniform, Formal, Free!

   To keep you creating during our downtime, we want to see you illustrate your character in three outfits. You can draw, paint, sketch, or digitally come up with something—-as long as it’s flat it’s good to be entered in this contest.

   You should feature one of your currently active characters in their school uniform, a formal outfit, and an outfit of your choice. All entries should be your original creations (no photo manipulations or blends for this contest please.) All three outfits should be together in one image file.

   Please keep animations short and relevant, and be mindful of those who are still on slower connections. If you need a place to host your image, try TinyPic.

   This fanart contest will accept entries in the Fan Art forum until July 10th, at which time all of the entries will be put into a poll for the forum at large to vote on. The poll will close at 11:59pm EST on July 17th. (If you don’t want to enter your illustration in the contest, please simply note this in your entry post. We still want to see your art even if you don’t want to compete!) Prizes will be given for first, second, and third place illustrations.

Hogwarts Canons

   To keep you creating during our downtime, we want to see you create a forum set for one of our canon characters. Each set should have an Avatar (that’s within 150px by 150px) and a Signature image (that’s within 500px wide by 200px tall).

   You should feature one of HPRPG Canon Characters using images from the movies, books, or fan art that are available for non-profit use under applicable law. All entries should be your digital work (no having someone make an entry for you!) with credits for images and such listed when needed. The AV and Sig can be separate image files.

   Please keep animations short and relevant, and be mindful of those who are still on slower connections. If you need a place to host your image, try TinyPic.

(Apologies to those of you who like larger blends!) Our size limit is strict to keep blends somewhat comparable, so we will not accept entries for voting that are over that size. (Participation awards will be given for blends bigger than 500x500 though!)

   You should focus on some aspect of the movie (a location, a character, a plot device) using images from the movies, books, or fan art (including your own) that are available for non-profit use under applicable law. Pieces of You!

   To keep you creating during our downtime, we want to see you make a collage of one of your current character’s interests. You can make a collage with digital images or do it the old fashioned way by attacking a pile of magazines and take a picture of that—-both work!

   You should feature one of the interests and hobbies of one of your current, active HPRPG characters. Are they into quidditch? Throw a snitch in there! Do they like frogs? By all means ribbit it up! All entries should be your original work (no having someone make an entry for you!) with credits for images and such listed when needed. The entire entry should be one file.

Eye-Popping!

   To issue one of our greatest fan art challenges of all time, we’re challenging you to create some sort of 3D sculpture or hodgepodge of real life objects that is somehow Harry Potter related. You can grab your sculpty clay and make a character, get your yarn and needles together to create a house scarf, or even break out your macaroni collection to make a tricolor Hogwarts castle—-it’s up to you!

   Anything HP-related goes, so make it and take three pictures of it! (Please don’t include yourself in these photos, especially if you’re under 18.) Post the pictures here in this thread to show off and join our grab bag competition. If you need a place to host your photos, try TinyPic.
